I have ordered a lot of these pants, different colors, different sizes, different pocket styles. Every time I order them they are always slightly different; Legs are wider, 40Waist in one pocket style is way too big for me compared to a perfect fit in the same size in different pocket style. The leg width is slightly slimmer in the new pair I got today compared to the same pair I got a year ago. Hit or miss.A little slimmer ft around the waist than the “Free Soldier” pants I also bought. Probably due to a more generous use of elastic around the waist band. The front cargo pockets are also a bit easier to access. The metal “D-ring” at the waist was a bit extraneous for me but others may not find it so.These are fireee I work with solder and also liquids so hot and cold elem it’s they resist both and they have a small stretch to them so they fit well I they are true to size with just a little extra room and HELLLA pockets. I did have one of the Velcro rip off the small pocket on the upper thigh but I don’t care still holds shiiitI'm used to wearing carhartts for work but have started spending more time in the office and wanted a pair of pants with a construction look but a little bit more comfortable. These pants are comfortable and flex when you bend but I don't think they would hold up to a construction environment. They have a nice color and fit although they do seem to have a lot of unnecessary pockets which I find make them look a little busy. I can't really speak to the water resistance of them but I wouldn't expect them to keep me dry in a rainstorm.After a month of giving these pants a try they are truly the best pants I've ever had for work I work in the public safety field and they are truly fitting for the job the pockets they provide are truly multi-use you can have your portable on one pocket your flashlight on the other or your handheld in one and your phone in the other it is true what others have reviewed and commented about it not working to wick sweat from your legs when it's muggy outside since they are truly waterproof it's something you have to deal with and it's not truly that much of an issue. Since they are waterproof they are truly splash resistance to any liquids there are truly worth the price a bit expensive but justified. I got 36x30 a bit tight and a bit loose that's what the shirt tucked in.Wear these for work, the pockets for the phone should be a bit bigger. Overall these are comfortable and easy to care. So far they have not faded either.Buying for my husband is sometimes tricky, but these were met with a big smile! He loves these pants and I'm happy about that! Durable, fit great, look great. He is 5'10" 170. A bit loose but better to have a bit of room.Bought these for airsoft, but they found their way into my weekly wardrobe as well. Great outdoor pants that are holding up well. Really like the pistol mag pocket for a extra Glock 19 magazine when out in town.
